Global Pain Index Study

Body pain such as back pain, knee pain or shoulder pain can have a significant impact on people’s lives. A staggering 93% of people in the UK say they experience pain in their muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints, and at least 67% of people say they suffer from this kind of body pain every week. At GSK Consumer Healthcare, we want to understand the impact body pain, such as backache and muscle pain, is having on people’s lives so we can strive to help more people overcome it.

Find out what over 500 people in the UK told us in the Global Pain Index about the impact body pain is having on them physically and emotionally. Lifting the lid on the struggles people face as a result of pain will help us find more ways to help people to do more and feel better.

Overall we talked to more than 7,000 adults, aged 18+, across four continents to capture their personal, physical and emotional experience of body pain and to understand the true impact it has on their lives.
