Exercise Programmes

Being fit and healthy helps your body cope with the demand of everyday life more effectively. According to the Department of Health adults should take 30 min of exercise each day, five times a week, to keep healthy. Poor general fitness can impact your ability to perform tasks efficiently and can leave you feeling tired, which increases the likelihood of having aches and pains when moving and doing physical activity.

One way to prevent pain is through balanced physical exercise comprising of mobility, strength, co-ordination, and stamina training. Since every person and the pain they experience is different, the exercises should be set according to unique needs. If you are unsure about any of the exercises suggested here, please consult your doctor. Only do as many exercises as feels comfortable, begin gently and gradually work up to holding the exercises for longer.
